Erotic surrealism, a photographic construction (digital montage), nude woman and bananas. Surreal, pop-art influenced. A pair of bananas, one normal scale and the other comically large, are superimposed on this image. The effect of the placement is to make the erotic photograph less explicit, while adding symbolism. The bright yellow commands attention against the black-and-white portion of the image.

The way the woman grasps her legs, and turns her toes outward, creates a stylized pose. Her expression is one of surprise and anticipation. This adds to the lighthearted, almost sardonic spirit of the image. It is as much a reaction to historical erotic art tropes as it is an homage to them. The composition celebrates the history of erotic art with playful humor.

Surrealists created artworks with erotic elements. An interest in subconsciousness and dreams cannot be complete without references to carnal desire. The themes of erotic surrealism can be disquieting to some, and amusing to others, but definitely command attention. Nobody with pass this addition to your art collection without a glance. Although, the timid may not have any words for it.

Although arresting, and quite suggestive, the image is not as explicit as one might expect of an erotic art photograph.
