Art Materials: Quality Matters

Limited edition archival photographs from A. K. Nicholas are printed with only best-in-class materials: museum-grade paper and archival pigmented inks. Quality materials add immense value to an artwork by enhancing its potential for beauty and longevity.

The paper used is Breathing Color Pura Smooth. Pura Smooth is a heavyweight (300 gsm/16.5 mils) bright white, matte fine art paper with a luxuriously smooth surface. This 100% cotton substrate is OBA-free (no optical brightening agents) for a color stable paper that will never “burn-out.” It produces extremely crisp and accurate detail. An additional reason that A. K. selected this paper is that it is accredited by independent laboratories and meets standards set forth by Fine Art Trade Guild (FATG) for pH and lightfastness. Pura Smooth is archival certified for 100+ years. Pura Smooth is made in the United States.
