Elements of the city are paired with the nude figure in these photographs. My city theme includes Charlotte as well as New York boroughs of Brooklyn and Manhattan. The architecture of cities is more than just individual buildings. The character of the diverse community of inhabitants imparts unique undertones to each image.

The city skyline figures prominently into many works of art. A. K. Nicholas is inspired by high-rise scenes rendered by Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Helmut Newton.
